Garden CentreAt West Wycombe you can browse the walled garden with selected shrubs, ornamental trees, perennial plants and seasonal bedding, herbs, fruit trees and vegetable plants. We stock many special and seasonal varieties. For advice or if you have a specific question on plants, you are welcome to Contact Us. We also sell a selection of our plants here on the website. In one corner of our garden centre we have our four residential hens, named by children from the local school as Doris, Fireworks, Fudgecake and Poppy. Their eggs are used in our café. Farm ShopThe main greenhouse of the historical garden centre is now a Farm Shop. Sourcing local and organic lines whenever possible, as well as fair-trade, our range currently contains fresh locally baked bread, local free-range eggs, local and organic speciality meat and – naturally – fresh fruit & vegetables. And yes, of course we also offer jams, chutneys, pasta, cooking sauces, drinks, cakes, frozen pastries and frozen fruit, gift foods, as well as many seasonal lines that change throughout the year and many other products you might expect from your favourite Farm Shop. A selection of our products are shown here. In our Farm Shop you will also find environmentally friendly household cleaning products and a range of natural health and beauty products. We also stock some speciality pet foods and treats for your friends at home or on the lead. CafeThe Old Gardener’s Cottage Café serves homemade cakes and light lunches with ingredients sourced from our Farm Shop. From the covered patio you can watch red kites over the open countryside of the Wye valley as you sip your tea. According to the neighbouring farmer’s choice and the time of year, you might also see horses and/or sheep and lambs. We also cater for parties but would appreciate if you could contact us before you visit us with a large group of people. Contact Us. Things To Do In The AreaOur location makes us the perfect start and ending point for many of the beautiful walking routes throughout the Chiltern Hills. Parking is easy and the Dashwood Hall, the Hellfire Caves and the National Trust village of West Wycombe are all within strolling distance. In the cold months of the year our patio area is enclosed and heated. Buckinghamshire County Council has a library bus visiting our car park regularly. For the current visiting times of the bus, please contact the Buckinghamshire Library Service on 0845-2303232 or visit www.buckscc.gov.uk/libraries. We are looking forward to welcome you soon. |
